5 Reasons to book a stay at The Shores (or not too)

Check out 5 reasons to stay at The Shores Holiday Apartments. Or not too. Because, we want happy and contented guests who are looking for a peaceful, beachfront break away from the busyness of the City. With The Shores being a little out of the city, it’s handy to know the times you may prefer Motel style accommodation. After all, a stay at The Shores is all about you and your needs.

Not If you are just after a quick stopover!

There are plenty of motels on the Bruce Highway. (Nebo Road) They are conveniently positioned for a quick stopover. Great if you want an early start or need to be near the Airport. Ideal for checking in late and going early the next day. Don’t bother to set your alarm. The aeroplanes, and road traffic will wake you up early.

We cannot guarantee you wont wake early if you stay at The Shores, but it won’t be the roar of a plane that wakes you. It might be birds chirping. Kookaburras laughing, or the sounds of waves gently lapping the beach.

Directions to The Shores Holiday Apartments from mackay Airport

Not if you want to party all night!

Mackay’s CBD has some great Night Clubs and a full on party atmosphere every weekend. It’s a real hive of activity. Noisy, busy, boisterous, crowded. The CBD is about 15 minutes drive from the Northern Beaches. And The Shores Holiday Apartments.

In contrast the main hive of activity at The Shores is the native bees working in their Bee Motel.

5 Reasons to book at The Shores

Not if you want Breakfast delivered to your room!

Do you love eating breakfast in bed balancing a tray on your lap? Then book a room in a motel that offers room service.  Don’t forget to get a room service menu from reception. Then fill out the form with your name and room number, and mark the time you want breakfast delivered. Next, drop the menu into reception by the required time. Remember to set your alarm so you are awake before breakfast arrives. Then wait for a loud knock on the door with a cheery voice yelling “Breakfast”. Hope back into bed and enjoy.

Alternatively if you hate cold toast, stay at The Shores, wake up when you feel like it, cook your own breakfast at your leisure, and eat it at the dining room table. Or, go out for breakfast. Northern Beaches Central’s Coffee Shop is a short 5 minute drive. Their eggs benedict are awesome.

5 reasons to stay at The Shores

Not if you are a shopaholic!

There are some accommodation places near Canelands Shopping Centre. It’s the largest shopping complex in Mackay just a hop, step and jump from the City Centre. The bulk of shops in Canelands belong to national chains or franchises, so a bit like you have in any regional town. Another option is the city centre. It has a variety of small independent shops where you might find more unusual or unique items. We are all about supporting local businesses. If you want to spend all your holidays and your holiday money at the shops go for it. Remember, at some time you will have to pay that credit card bill.

Or you could stay on the beach at The Shores where you can do lots or nothing without spending money. What’s more, there is a restaurant, mini supermarket, hair salon and pub all within a six minute walk. The pub has a bistro, pokies and bottleshop. What more do you need?

5 reasons to stay at The Shores

Not if you don’t mind airing your dirty laundry in public?

Then stay in a motel or apartment that doesn’t have a laundry in your room or unit. Do you like queuing up to do washing when on holidays? And pay for the privilege. Or don’t do the washing when you are away and risk having your bags checked at the airport. Lets face it, it’s a bit embarrassing to show off your dirty undies in front of strangers, let alone friends. And catching up with all the washing when you get home takes the shine off a holiday.

How about staying at The Shores Holiday Apartments instead? Each unit has its own washing machine and clothes dryer.

5 reasons to stay at The Shores

If none of these options suit, then book a holiday at The Shores Holiday Apartments for your next break. You can still enjoy a night out in the City, a day’s shopping, and a few days exploring the region. Just make The Shores Holiday Apartments your accommodation base, so you can come home to a quiet and relaxing beachfront break.  Plus, there are a lot more than 5 reasons to book a holiday at The Shores Holiday Apartments.
