The Shores Holiday Apartments is a perfect holiday destination. As a matter of fact its ideal for families, couples, singles and groups. Located on the beach at Blacks Beach. In Mackay’s Northern Beaches. Besides it’s only 12 minutes from Mackay’s City Centre. And we are Covid Safe good to go.

Self Contained Holiday Accommodation

The Shores provides self contained accommodation. All apartments are large and open plan. Hence there is plenty of room to spread out and relax. Townhouse units are two storeys, with the bedrooms upstairs. Standard Villas’, Beachfront Villas’ and Deluxe Villas’ are ground floor apartments.

Unit Facilities

Each unit has a kitchen with a large two door fridge, stove, microwave oven and dishwasher. What’s more they all have a washing machine and clothes dryer. The lounge/dining area has a digital TV, DVD player and CD player. There is also a TV in the main bedroom. Of course all units are air conditioned throughout.

All units are two bedroom apartments. In spite of this a few units are bookable as one bedroom units. This gives guests more options. These units have the second bedroom locked off to guests. Nevertheless they offer all the other facilities as two bedroom apartments. A great alternative for singles or couples. With a choice between one and two bedroom units there’s sure to be an accommodation option to suit.

Also every unit has a patio with a table and outdoor chairs, and single carport. Furthermore all units have garden views or views to the outdoor facilities. Of course Wifi is available free of charge in all units and around the grounds.

Cots are available at $20 for the duration of your stay.

Guest Facilities

In addition to  spacious units, guests have access to lots of facilities during their stay. And they are free of charge. Feel like some laid back quiet time? Borrow from our extensive range of books, board games, puzzles and DVD’s on display in reception.

Or, do you want to get active? How about a game or two of tennis on our full size flood lit tennis court. Play Volleyball, hopscotch or bocce on the beach. Go swimming in one of two swimming pools, chill out in the cold water spa, or splash with the kids in the toddlers pool. Tennis racquets, tennis balls and a volleyball are available from reception. 

Beach Side Dining Venues

All guests have access to the Shade-covered electric BBQ & picnic area. Perfect if you want to eat outside with family and friends. And there is seating for 32 people around the BBQ’s. Or relax around a fire at the Wood burning BBQ. A great place to sit at night toasting marshmallows with the kids.

Sorry we have very little accommodation over the Christmas week. Book now to avoid disappointment. But we still have plenty of units available outside Christmas week. Covid Clean

Are you concerned about your health and well-being because of Covid-19? You shouldn’t be. We have lots of covid safe measures in place to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. This includes hygiene kits in units for guests to use. Because we want all our guests to feel safe, comfortable and relaxed in their apartments. Not to mention the good hygiene practises in place for all our staff.

Beyond that we have lots of social distancing signage and sanitizing stations. We have a COVIDSAFE Certificate and are a Covid Clean Practicing Business.
